Revenue minus variable and fixed costs.

Sales volume100 units
Revenue8,000 AZN
Break-even≈ 66.6667 units
Simple payback13.33 months

In this conditional scenario, revenue covers the stated costs.

Payback is conditional: it assumes the monthly balance is available to repay the investment, with no payment delays or working capital requirements.

How the model works and what it excludes

The model allows divisible volumes; enter whole quantities for discrete products. Sales = the minimum of demand and capacity. Balance = sales × (price − variable cost) − fixed costs. With a positive margin, break-even = fixed costs / (price − variable cost). With zero margin and zero fixed costs, the balance is zero at any volume. With a negative margin and zero fixed costs, it is zero only with no sales. Simple payback = investment / a positive monthly balance.

Taxes, financing, price changes, inventory, seasonality and ramp-up are excluded. The three scenarios compare assumptions; they are not a probabilistic forecast. This public calculation demo was prepared for the website and does not replace the reference BSI Scenario Engine.

Modelling does not constitute a forecast, project approval or authority to launch.
